I have one piece in the juried "For Pastels Only" show in the Cultural Center of Cape Cod, held by the Pastel Painters Society of Cape Cod. The show will be up until October 15th, five days before the show in New York City ends. For more info, check out the EXHIBITIONS/ SCREENINGS section of the site.
"The Artist Survival Kit" is the latest post in the BLOGONOK section of the site. This isn't about snazzy art supplies or goofy expenditures, because I try to "KEEP IT REAL" on this website. My guide instead refers to practical, affordable items to help ease the burden of living the artist life. Read it, and perhaps you might retain your sanity while living on ramen noodles and sleeping in the occasional car or public restroom.
I have a couple animated shorts both planned and in the works. Sadly, those are on the backburner because we're in the middle of our busy season on Cape Cod, and I'll have to get to them when I get to them. In the meantime, I'm here to inform you about upcoming art shows I'll be a part of in the coming months. For details visit the EXHIBITS AND SCREENING page, which you can find the link to above, or by clicking here.
In the FILM section of the site, you can now find one of my first little ditties, 2000 Man. While I should go back and improve the visuals of the film and rerecord my voice over, I am still pleased with how this one came out, and I've gotten a lot of very personal feedback over the years about it, from film festivals to folks seeing it on the interwebs.
This past Friday between midnight and 2:30am saw Devin Westland, Sean Boyce, and myself painting in Times Square. Mr. Boyce took some video of the occasion.
New work uploaded to the acrylics section, and a link to an friend's art blog added.
Also of note is my upcoming show at AS220, beginning June 1st. More details, shortly...
